Apostasy punished by death penalty:

Some Muslim countries sentence to death those who apostatize or refuse to pray. Racist occidental minds may say that only Muslim societies are capable of that.

Let us remind them that the same punishment was applied in Catholic countries not so long ago. In addition to the hundreds of thousands of people burned at the stake or tortured by the Inquisition for alleged sorcery, all apostates were burnt to death as well … and their possessions were confiscated by the Catholic Church.

If the Catholic church was still in power today, such atrocities would probably continue.

Apostatize, in the memory of all those victims, to affirm your freedom … and thinking that if you were living a few hours flight further South you would be sentenced to death!

Apostatize in order to weaken the Catholic church and prevent a comeback in your country where your freedom to apostatize is guaranteed by the Constitution!

Article 306 of the Mauritanian Constitution

"If a Muslim is found guilty of the crime of apostasy, either through words or through actions, he will be asked to repent during a three day period. If he has not repented within this time limit, he will be sentenced to death as an apostate and his property will be seized by the Revenue office.

Every Muslim who refuses to pray will be asked to comply with the obligation to pray within the prescribed time limit. If he persists in his refusal, he will be punished by death."
